Long Beach City College (LBCC) is dedicated to bridging the gap between market needs and workforce abilities. The college specializes in preparing students with the workplace and technical skills they need for employability, job retention and career enhancement. As information technology continues to grow by leaps and bounds, LBCC is addressing head-on the need to place unprecedented numbers of technology-literate workers and highly trained information technology professionals into the regional workforce. LBCC is a Regional Cisco Networking Academy, CompTIA Training Provider, Microsoft Authorized Academic Training Partner, Authorized Sun Education Center and a member of the Oracle Academic Initiative. With an enrollment of over 30,000 students, LBCC is among the largest of California's 109 community colleges. LBCC provides education and training in 42 career and technological education programs, in addition to offering associate of arts degrees in 97 subject areas. The college's fully certified faculty is committed to providing the level of education needed by students to successfully advance to four-year institutions or directly into the job market.
