The advisor can give you information on financial aid, tutors, basic and workplace skills training, and part-time employment.


Job Placement

Once have a completed the training at Long Beach City College you can enter the automotive field as a certified Service Technician. Through the college's partnership with the Southland Motor Car Dealers Association, graduates of our automotive programs may have the opportunity to begin their careers at one of the 80+ dealership in the region. And it doesn't stop there! There are opportunities for advancement to supervisory and management positions.*

With the investment of time and relatively small amount of money you can begin training for you career now.

Auto Body Repair---48 units @ $11 per unit for a total investment of $528 + books for an average yearly salary at entry level of $40,000

Auto Mechanics--- 53 units @ $11 per unit for a total investment of $583 + books far an average yearly salary at entry level of $30,000

Diesel Mechanics---45 units @$11 per unit for a total investment of $583 + books for an average yearly salary at entry level of $40,000

Smog Certified Technician---$275 for training: These position's have an entry level salary of 35,000 with the potential of $100,000 within two years

Quick Service Technician---Two-unit one week course @ $11 per unit for a total cost of $22 + materials for an average yearly salary of $20,000
